Present perfect simple and continuous
Overview
In this upper-intermediate lesson, students will learn how to correctly use the present perfect simple and continuous tenses. They will focus on distinguishing between these two forms and understanding when to use each appropriately. These tenses can convey different aspects of time and action, crucial for expressing experiences, ongoing actions, and completed activities up to the present moment.
The lesson plan includes a boardwork suggestion that outlines one way to present the target language. After that, we move on to several engaging low-resource classroom activities involving different collaborative grammar and speaking tasks. As usual, we have included a fun classroom game idea to review the lesson's content and offer an enjoyable way for students to consolidate their learning.
