Relative clauses
Overview
In this intermediate ESL lesson, the students will learn about different types of relative clauses. The lesson will guide them through the grammar and function of these clauses, essential for adding detail and clarity to their sentences. They will also learn how to integrate them seamlessly into their speech and writing, enhancing their ability to describe and explain.
The lesson plan includes a boardwork example demonstrating one effective way to present relative clauses. After this, the students will participate in several low-resource classroom activities, using relative clauses to describe everyday objects in a fun and challenging context. To conclude the lesson, students will engage in a classroom game that applies what they've learned and ends the session on a high note.
