Vocabulary and collocations
Overview
In this first lesson of a three-part series on the topic of professions, students will concentrate on expanding their vocabulary and understanding of collocations related to jobs and the workplace. They will learn specific terminology and phrases commonly used in professional settings.
The lesson plan starts with a boardwork example, demonstrating one effective method of introducing target vocabulary and expressions related to professions. Following this, students will participate in several low-resource classroom activities where they will discuss past work experiences. To wrap up the session, we've included a fun idea for a classroom game where the students hold mock press conferences.
