Overview

In the first lesson of our unit on film, students will engage in discussions about their tastes in movies and get into debates on various aspects of the industry. The lesson aims to expand their vocabulary related to cinema and enhance their speaking skills in expressing opinionspreferences, and critiques about different types of films and the broader industry.

The lesson plan starts with a suggested boardwork example, introducing new film-related vocabulary and phrases. Students will then participate in several low-resource classroom activities focused on collaborative speaking, encouraging students to discuss and debate various film-related topics. To end on a high note, we've planned a fun group game that consolidates the vocabulary and speaking skills practised during the session.
