Overview

This lesson introduces students to various English question words and their functional uses. Grasping these critical components will enable students to formulate questions effectively, enhancing their conversational skills and ability to gather information.

As for the lesson structure, we begin with a few warmer activities that dovetail nicely with the previous course material, serving as a reinforcement and providing continuity. We also provide notes on suggested boardwork for teaching the different question words. The lesson progresses with several ESL classroom activities, where students will form questions using the various structures. To encourage home study, we include a suggested homework task that aligns with the lesson's content. As always, we wrap up the class with an engaging game that reinforces the target concepts of the lesson.
