Definite and indefinite articles
Overview
In this lesson, we look at the differences between definite and indefinite articles in English. By the end of the session, students will be able to understand the grammar and functional differences between these two types of articles.
The lesson plan includes a suggested boardwork example that shows one way to present the lesson's target language. We then move on to low-resource ESL classroom activities where the students will work on grammar, writing and a pairwork speaking exercise. These activities will help the students practice using articles in context and reinforce their understanding of the grammar rules. Finally, the lesson plan will wrap up with a fun idea for a classroom game.
