First conditional
Overview
In this elementary-level lesson, students will examine the grammar and function of the first conditional. They will learn how to construct sentences using this tense, which we use to talk about things which might happen in the future. Understanding the first conditional is key for students to make predictions and discuss potential outcomes in everyday conversations.
The lesson plan features a boardwork suggestion that presents the first conditional in a clear and efficient manner. This introduction is followed by a series of engaging, low-resource activities involving collaborative speaking and writing tasks. To conclude the session, we include a classroom game idea to reinforce the concepts learned, ensuring students leave with a solid understanding of the first conditional and an enjoyable end to the lesson.
