Verb patterns
Overview
In this elementary-level ESL lesson, students will revisit and practice some common verb patterns, which are crucial at this learning stage. The lesson is structured to deepen their understanding of how different structures follow verbs, such as infinitives or gerunds. Grasping these patterns is essential for students to form sentences correctly and improve their overall fluency in English.
The lesson starts with a boardwork suggestion to help you present these verb patterns. We then move on to several low-resource classroom activities focused on collaborative speaking and writing tasks. To wrap up the session, we've included a fun group game designed to review and reinforce the verb patterns learned.
