Hobbies, likes and dislikes

Overview

In this lesson, we will focus on some typical constructions that your students can use to ask about and express likes and dislikes. By the end of the class, your students will be able to talk more confidently about their hobbies and preferences.

We have included a couple of optional warmer activities that revise some of the previously covered topics on the course. These activities will help to activate your students' prior knowledge and get them in the right mindset for learning. We also provide sample boardwork that offers one way to present the target language. The lesson contains several low-resource classroom activities where your students will quiz each other on their preferences and work with the negative forms. As usual, we have included a suggested homework task to help your students reinforce what they have learned. Finally, we wrap up the lesson with an idea for a classroom game that will allow your students to practice their new skills in a fun and interactive way.
