Overview

In this lesson, students will focus on learning and understanding the numbers from 1 to 20. This knowledge will enable students to build fundamental numeric literacy, form the basis for further numerical understanding, and help them in everyday tasks such as telling the time and exchanging phone numbers.

It begins with optional warmer activities that reinforce the material students have worked on throughout the course. We have included notes for suggested boardwork, providing a visual aid for teaching numbers. The lesson also consists of several classroom activities that encourage students to practice counting and sharing their phone numbers in English. There is a suggested homework task to support learning beyond the classroom. Finally, the lesson concludes with a fun, interactive classroom game that reinforces the lesson's target language.
