Supermarket vocabulary
Overview
In this lesson, we will review vocabulary related to the supermarket. By becoming familiar with these words, your students will be better equipped to navigate the common but essential task of grocery shopping.
We kick off the lesson with some optional warm-up activities that revise previously covered material. As we go through the class, we'll provide notes on suggested boardwork that present the various categories of items commonly found in a supermarket. In addition, we've included a series of low-resource classroom activities that reinforce the newly learned vocabulary and work on their pronunciation. As part of this lesson, we also recommend a homework assignment. And finally, we will end class with a fun game to help reinforce the lesson's target language.
