The present simple
Overview
In this lesson, we will focus on the basic grammar rules of the present simple tense. By the end of this class, your students should better understand how to use this tense in their everyday conversations.
To get started, we will begin with a couple of optional warmer activities that revise some of the previously covered material on the course. After that, we look at some sample boardwork that offers one way to present the grammar of the present simple. Following that, there are several low-resource classroom activities where your students apply the target language and practice using it in different contexts. As always, we conclude the lesson by recommending a homework assignment and suggesting a classroom game that reinforces the lesson's theme.
