Phrasal verbs
Overview
In this intermediate-level ESL lesson, students will tackle the topic of phrasal verbs, focusing specifically on those incorporating the particles on, up, and in. They will explore a variety of common examples, learning how these small additions can significantly change the meaning of a verb.
The lesson plan includes a sample boardwork that offers one way to present the target language. Following this introduction, students will engage in several low-resource classroom activities encouraging collaborative writing and speaking. To wrap up the lesson, we play a game, providing students with a fun and interactive way to review and reinforce their understanding of phrasal verbs.
