Talking about the future
Overview
In this intermediate-level lesson, students will take a closer look at discussing the future, focusing on the functional application of different future constructions. They will explore and practice using will, going to, and the present continuous for future events, enabling them to express plans, predictions, and planned events effectively.
The lesson plan includes a boardwork example, which provides a clear introduction to the future constructions. Following this, students will participate in a series of low-resource classroom activities where they will interview each other about their future goals and plans, applying the target language in meaningful conversations. Finally, to wrap up the session, we conclude with a group game that consolidates the learning objectives and offers students a fun way to practice and review the language concepts covered.
