Debate and discussion
Overview
In this third upper-intermediate lesson on technology, we will explore ethical issues related to technology and engage in discussions and debates. This session aims to help students develop the ability to express their views, participate in thoughtful conversations, and respect diverse opinions. The lesson will focus on the complex moral considerations that arise in technology and will enhance students' persuasive speaking and argumentation skills.
The lesson plan will begin with a review of the previous lesson's homework, where we will record new language concepts in our boardwork. This review will set the foundation for the day's main activity, a class debate on technology-related ethical issues. To wrap up on a lighter note, we'll play technology-themed Pictionary.

Use of the board
Hold a class discussion based on the previous lesson's homework task.
If you did the second lesson in this unit and gave out the homework assignment, start this lesson by discussing what they learned. Build a spider diagram on the whiteboard to record vocabulary that you feel is appropriate to this level. Try to reflect the ideas given to you by your students. Homework review: Technology
Discuss the homework task as a group, adding new concepts and vocabulary to the board.

Class debate: Ethical issues related to technology
The students will debate some controversial statements related to developments in science and technology.
